Carolyn has worked for over 30 years in the investment business serving the needs and interests of individuals, families, businesses and qualified retirement plans and participants.
Carolyn graduated Cum Laude from Meredith College with a degree in Business Administration. She continued her education by studying for and earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from The College for Financial Planning in 1987. Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®) administers the Certified Private Wealth AdvisorSM (CPWA®) designation to wealth managers and advisors who complete the experience, education, examination and ethics requirements of the designation program. In July, 2012, Carolyn earned this designation.
Carolyn spent her first 25 years in the investment business with one firm; beginning there when it was a small but highly regarded company and staying for those 25 years as it grew through a series of mergers and acquisitions into one of the largest firms in this industry. She chose to join Baird in December 2010, attracted in part by the firm’s fine reputation, its unique client centric culture and because she embraces Baird's core beliefs that “Clients come first.” and that “How we succeed is as important as if we succeed.”
Another of Baird’s core beliefs is that associates should “seek personal balance in home, work and community involvement.” Carolyn has always been active in her support of community organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Hope Alliance and as a Trustee for Meredith College in Raleigh. Her balance extends to family as she devotes time and love to her two children and three grandchildren.
