By utilizing the vast resources of Robert W. Baird & Co., I work in partnership with our clients to help create and grow wealth, protect and preserve wealth, and plan and implement the tax-advantaged distribution of wealth both during life and at death.
Experience & Expertise
Gary has more than 18 years of experience managing clients’ investments and helping them reach long term financial goals. Prior to joining Baird in 2008, Gary spent nearly 12 years with National City as a Financial Consultant within their Private Client Group. Previously, Gary worked at Roulston Research, where he was responsible for their Retirement Plan and Mutual Fund platforms. Gary’s career has been distinguished by a broad foundation of knowledge and experience. He advises a wide variety of clients, helping both individuals and institutions with their Wealth Management needs. Financial Education is a point of emphasis for Gary, and he has donated his time and expertise as an Instructor for both the University of Akron (Medina campus), and the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE).
Education & Professional Designation
Gary has his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kent State University. He holds FINRA Securities Licenses in Series 7, 31, 63, and 65 and Insurance for Life and Health.
Gary has also acquired his Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). QPFC is the professional credential, developed by ASPPA and the University of Michigan, for financial professionals who sell, advise, market or support qualified retirement plans. A candidate is expected to demonstrate a general proficiency of plan administration, compliance, investment, fiduciary, and ethics issues. Gary also has the professional designation awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, as well as the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™(CDFA) designation.
Family & Community
Gary lives in Medina with his wife, Theresa, and their 6 boys. He spends his leisure time with his family and enjoys various outdoor activities along with coaching numerous youth sports for his children. Gary is very active in the community. He is a member of Medina Rotary, Medina Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Medina County, Greater Akron Chamber, Medina Estate Planning Council, Highland Youth Football, and Recreation Association of Highland.
