Steve’s most favored aspects of his work are getting to know his clients well enough to truly add value in their lives and the management of individual securities portfolios. Steve came to Baird in February of 1988 after receiving his Master of Business Administration from Marquette University. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Steve contends that the best education he received was from his mentor Bill Schield. Steve has been recognized as a FORBES Best in State Wealth Advisor in 2018 – 2020 and received recognition as a Five Star Wealth Manager for 2009 – 2019.
In the past, Steve has educated local members of the community through radio broadcasts on day-to-day market conditions. He also exudes passion to promote a healthy learning environment for the next generation, and has served as a past board member and Treasurer for Urban Day School for about 10 years.
He lives in Whitefish Bay with his wife, Dr. Anne Z. Hoch, and their daughter, Hannah.

Jen Haldemann, CFP®

Jen emphasizes a comprehensive approach to long-term planning, which embodies Portfolio Management, Estate/Retirement/Insurance Planning, as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. She joined Baird in 2003, after starting her career at Strong Financial Corp. Jen earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, and her Master of Business Administration from Marquette University.
She was recognized as a FORBES Best in State Wealth Advisor in 2018 – 2020. She has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager for 2012 – 2019. Jen was also invited from a select list of Baird women advisors to attend the Barron’s Top Women Financial Advisor Summit in 2015 – 2019. Furthermore, she was ranked a Top Next Generation Financial Advisor with FORBES/SHOOK as well at a Top Wealth Advisor Mom for Working Mother partnered with SHOOK Research in 2017 - 2019.
Within Baird, Jen served on the Baird Women’s Advisory Council to advocate women in the financial services field; she also was responsible in coordinating new women Financial Advisors with mentors to aid success in this mission.
Jen enjoys volunteering and participating at various events/committees within the community such as Junior’s Achievement and The Hope Foundation. She is currently serving on the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Planned Giving Council. She has also served as a past board member and Board Member Development Chair with the Arthritis Foundation Upper Midwest Region, as well as a past board member of the local Southeast Leadership Board for the Arthritis Foundation.
Jen lives in West Bend, WI with her husband, Matt, and their daughters, Sage and Rayna.
Associate Financial Advisor
Samantha received a Bachelor of Business Administration in May of 2014 from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. While earning her degree in Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship, she established her role on the team as an intern with the Hoch Haldemann Group in February of 2013. While continuing her growth in financial planning on the team, she earned her Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2018. She is FINRA Series 7, 66, and Wisconsin Insurance licensed.
Her specialized role on the team has grown to encompass facilitating and implementing reviews in respect to Financial and Estate planning, Charitable Giving approaches and complex family wealth transfer strategies.
Given her passion for philanthropic efforts, Samantha chairs the Baird’s Giving Back to the Community Leadership Team - leading Baird’s annual global volunteering efforts. Under her leadership, Baird Gives Back week had the highest participation since inception. She serves on the Baird's UW-Milwaukee alumni relations team and spearheaded Baird's nomination for the Corporate Partner Award from UWM's Alumni Association in 2018. She is a Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County United Way Project LEAD inaugural class graduate, and serves as a board member for HEAR Wisconsin. Additionally, Samantha was nominated for United Way’s ‘Performance 5’ in 2019. Each year United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County honor five emerging community leaders.
She resides in Wauwatosa, WI with her loving dog Suter.
Anne started in the Financial Service Industry in 2000 as a wire operator at one of the large wirehouses. She has since moved on to assisting multiple Financial Advisors and their clients for the past eighteen years.
Anne joined Baird in 2010 and is FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed. With the Hoch Haldemann Group, she enjoys building client relationships and servicing their financial needs. She is the COO of the team, as she ensures all operational needs are met and everything is flowing seamlessly.
Anne lives in Fox Point, WI with her husband, Ron, and their children, Quentin and Sophia. In her free time, Anne likes to spend time on her farm in the Spring Green area.
Leah received a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in December of 2008. Leah joined the Baird family in 2011 and is FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed. As a part of Baird’s Private Wealth Management team, she brings enthusiasm in assisting the Hoch Haldemann Group, with their commitment of establishing lasting relationships with clients. You will most likely hear from Leah when it is time for a portfolio review or as the warm voice on the other end of the phone ready to assist with anything asked. She is knowledgeable in wide range of topics, and continues to grow in her role daily.
