Private Wealth Management
Senior Vice President
Michael joined Baird’s Atlanta North Point office in 2001, where he serves as a Financial Advisor and Associate Branch Manager. For over 30 years, Michael has advised clients in the various areas of financial and investment planning, formulating specific plans to help his clients achieve their goals. These tailored plans include retirement and estate planning, insurance reviews as well as investment solutions. “The final plan is actually a result of an approach geared toward knowing my clients as well as possible and doing my best to truly understand their total situation.”
Michael’s investment philosophy is to formulate a long-term investment plan, not based on timing, but a plan that reflects his client’s financial goals, personality as well as risk tolerance. Then he recommends a portfolio designed to meet each client’s unique needs. “I evaluate the client’s investment needs and create an asset allocation model that reflects their individual time horizon, ability to tolerate volatility and return expectations.”
A 1986 graduate of the University of Florida, Michael continued his education and obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which is awarded to a select group of planners that meet rigorous education, examination, experience and ethics requirements. Michael has also obtained the Certified Retirement Counselor designation. The CRC designation indicates his ability to counsel pre-retirees and retirees on the many complex facets of retirement planning.
For several years, Michael has also taught adult education courses in the north Atlanta area, providing instruction on retirement planning and personal finance.
In 2019, Michael was honored for the seventh time by Atlanta Magazine as a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager-Client Overall Satisfaction.
Michael resides in Alpharetta (Milton) and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and black lab. Other activities Michael enjoys include golf, playing trumpet in his church orchestra, shooting sports and motorcycles.
