My Profile

Through my experience, I have found that most clients are not looking for financial products, excessive literature and information, or sales presentations. More so, they are seeking objective advice – desiring a disciplined process that leads to a solid plan.

I have closely guided high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives and business owners through many market cycles, led by a thorough understanding of their unique situations and an unwavering commitment to keep their best interests first.

In Baird, I have a partner with world-class resources and deep expertise to support us in my mission to provide the very best advice and service I can. We strive to understand the purpose behind everything our clients’ desire; whether it’s coordinating the complexities of their retirement and investments, or passing on an estate or the family business. Clients entrust their financial future to us. Our training and experience allow us to accept this responsibility. Our personal integrity, reputation, and heart earn it.

Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22

Matthew P. Rickaway, CRPC
Financial Advisor

People choose their careers for many different reasons. When I decided to become a Financial Advisor, I was driven by a genuine passion for creating great outcomes in clients’ lives and a deep desire to help them achieve the things they wanted for themselves and the people they care about.

Matt joined Baird in January of 2015 after starting his career in 2008 with Wells Fargo Advisors. He holds a Series 7 and 66 licenses and the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) certification from the College for Financial Planning. He is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University. Matt’s previous experience includes over ten years at Pfizer Inc., the world’s largest pharmaceutical company. Majority of that time was spent in upper management even serving in their New York City headquarters.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10

Committed to the Community

Committed to helping his community prosper, Matt is currently serving on the Board of Directors of two organizations including the Alvin Community College Foundation and True To Life Ministries.  Away from the office, he is an active member within his local church, the Greater Angleton Chamber and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo serving as Vice Chairman on the Calf Scramble Committee.
