Mike has more than 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. His practice specializes in aligning his clients financially with their most important life goals. His planning-based approach to wealth management begins with a solid understanding of his clients’ specific goals and objectives. He then balances clients expected returns with their individual tolerance for risk to select the proper components for a customized financial solution.
A graduate of Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), Mike worked as a Vice President at Morgan Stanley for over 13 years, where he completed advanced training in the areas of retirement and estate planning, asset allocation, and retirement distributions.
Mike joined Baird in July 2005. In May of 2006, Mike won the G. Frederick Kasten, Jr. Private Client Group Award for superior client service. This award recognizes one Baird associate each year who has gone above and beyond in service to clients and who continually strives to improve service on behalf of the whole team. This award is among the highest honors presented at Baird.
Mike is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and in 2007, he completed Baird’s Investment Consultant Program at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and earned the designation of Senior Investment Consultant.
Mike was promoted to Managing Director in 2014. He also achieved the distinction of being selected in Baird’s “Top Ten” from 2010-present, representing the top 10% of advisors at Baird. He has been selected to Baird’s President’s Club from 2005-2011 and Baird’s Chairman’s Club in 2012-2020. In 2018, 2019, and again in 2020, Mike was recognized by FORBES magazine as a Best-In-State wealth advisor and his team, The Boosel Group, was recognized with Baird’s “Influential Team” award in 2018. Mike has also been named a Five Star Wealth Manager multiple times.
Mike has also has served on Baird’s Financial Advisor Advisory Council (FAAC), providing leadership in helping Baird more effectively meet the sophisticated needs of advisors and clients. He is also a member of the Association of Financial Educators (AFE), a non-profit bureau dedicated to empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge they need to take control of their own financial well-being.
Mike has been married to his wife for 20 years and has an eighteen-year-old son. He is active member of his church, a golfer, and is an approved instructor with Retirement Planning Fundamentals. As such, he regularly teaches adult education courses on retirement planning and personal finance in the north Atlanta area.
Sulay R. Ringwala, CFP®, CDFA®

Sulay began his career with Baird in 2012 as a Private Wealth Management Intern at the Milwaukee Branch, and moved to Atlanta in 2015 to join The Boosel Group as a Financial Advisor specializing in holistic wealth management, financial planning, and wealth management.
In addition to obtaining his FINRA licenses 7 & 66, Sulay is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) which enables him to intricately assess the financial conditions of a client as well as define and implement their future financial plan. He also is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®), and has expertise on the financial aspects of divorce. His strength in analyzing the financial health of the family unit derives from his experience in Baird’s Foundations Program - a selective, two-year, intensive program that immerses associates in all aspects of Private Wealth Management
Sulay attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. As a Badger alumnus, he is on the board of the Atlanta Chapter of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Association of Financial Educators (AFE), a non-profit bureau dedicated to empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge they need to take control of their own financial well-being. As such, Sulay regularly teaches the Retirement Planning Fundamentals course in the north Atlanta area.
Sulay is originally from Oshkosh, Wisconsin and has lived in Atlanta since 2015. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, golfing and attending beer & whiskey tastings.
Senior Client Specialist
Kathy Nelson is a Senior Registered Client Specialist, joining The Boosel Group in 2015. In her role, Kathy provides a wide range of administrative support to clients, from account opening to operational transactions including trades, wires, journals, checks, account transfers, and more. She is also instrumental in the operation of retirement specific transactions such as Required Minimum Distributions and excess contribution removal. Kathy is an expert with accessing Baird’s broad internal expertise and back-office resources to deliver peace of mind to every client.
Kathy has over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Baird, she worked with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Morgan Keegan, and Sterne Agee. Kathy is efficient, and organized, which enables her to assist in building client relationships and servicing client accounts. Kathy enjoys the challenge of resolving clients’ complex concerns and is dedicated to superior client service.
Kathy has lived in Alpharetta, GA since 1996 with her husband of 24 years. They have two boys, who are 20 and 18. She is a volunteer at her church, and enjoys playing tennis. She also enjoys watching her kids play golf, tennis, and rugby.
