Baird and its associates have a long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities we serve and we understand that contributing our personal time and resources is important to the vitality and strength of communities in which we live and work.
Held annually since 2009, Baird Gives Back Week provides associates with opportunities to give back to the communities we call home. This special week is an annual Baird sponsored firm wide effort to give back to the communities that Baird is privileged to work within. Baird participants throughout the country unite to organize events and drives to benefit local charities and organizations.Baird Gives Back Week Goals:
Camp Korey’s mission is to honor the courage, strength and determination of children living with serious illness. With specialized medical support, they help kids re-imagine the future. Camp Korey (www.campkorey.org) is a member of SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by Paul Newman, serving thousands of children and families each year with week long summer camp sessions. Camp Korey, like all SeriousFun Camps, remains 100% free to all campers and families, relying on the generosity of the community for support.
The mission of Northwest Harvest is to lead the fight for hungry people statewide to have access to nutritious food while respecting their dignity and promoting good health.
Bellevue associates raised over $1,000 to purchase items (activity books, coloring books, crayons, games, etc.) to assemble 200 “Care Packages” for campers, ages 7 – 16.
Bellevue associates also donated a total of $1,400.00 in cash donations to Camp Korey and along with The Baird Foundation’s matching gifts, brought the total to $2,100.00.
The 2016 Baird Foundation Annual Report "Imagine More" highlights Baird's broad reaching support of our communities, providing more than $3.2 million to nonprofit organizations last year.
Baird’s Bellevue office held a food drive for the entire month of May and with the help of all our associates and our generous clients, collected non-perishable food to benefit hungry people statewide.
Bellevue associates raised over $800 to purchase items (activity books, coloring books, crayons, games, etc.) to assemble 120 “welcome bags” for campers, ages 7 – 16.
Bellevue associates supported the Jubilee Ranch Heart & Home Thrift Store, a Jubilee REACH (www.jubileereach.org) a non-profit serving those in need around Bellevue. By collecting donations of new and like new furniture and household items and volunteering our time in the store, we helped serve families in need on the Eastside by providing access to assistance programs and services focused on growing community and empowering our youth.
